We agree the details
A 50/50* split, with the calculation, costs, responsibilities and timing set out in plain English for your advisor to review.
We buy the lambs
We fund the lamb purchase and agree the stock, delivery and identification records with you.
You farm
You graze and manage the lambs alongside your own mob. A cycle's usually around five to six months, agreed for your farm.
The lambs go to the works
Through the processor and sale arrangements we've agreed, starting with how you already operate.
We share the proceeds
Sale proceeds are split 50/50* under your agreement. We review the cycle together before considering another.
How do Tayb's lamb grazing partnerships work?
We fund additional lambs for you to raise on your existing farm, alongside your own mob. You provide grazing and management. Sale proceeds are split 50/50*. How the split is calculated and which costs apply are set out in your farm agreement before stock arrives.
How's this different from contract grazing?
You're paid for grass and management through a 50/50* share of sale proceeds, rather than a fixed grazing rate. We'll explain the calculation and costs so you can compare the arrangement with conventional grazing.
What if lambs die or don't perform?
Mortality, animal health, underperformance and each party's responsibilities are covered in the agreement before stock arrives. We'll also agree what happens if feed runs short or the timing needs to change. You can review those terms with your farm advisor before deciding.
Can I keep using my usual processor?
That's the starting point. We'll work through your existing supply arrangements and agree the sale and payment process with you before the lambs arrive. Any processor or supply-contract requirements need to be checked first.
Do I need a separate farm?
No. The lambs are raised on the farm you already run, alongside your own mob and under your usual management. We work with your available capacity. You don't need to set up a separate operation.
How does the 50/50 split work?
The partnership uses a 50/50 split. How the split is calculated, which costs apply and when you're paid are set out in your farm agreement. We'll work through those details with you before you commit.
What can I check before committing?
Ask us about the ownership records, the numbers and each party's responsibilities. Take the agreement to your lawyer or farm advisor and work through anything that isn't clear. You should know who you're dealing with and what you're agreeing to before stock arrives.
What does it cost me?
You don't fund the lamb purchase. You provide grazing and management, so your operating costs still matter. The agreement sets out the 50/50 calculation, feed, freight, mortality and timing before you commit.
What farms are you looking for?
We're speaking with farmers in Australia and New Zealand who have spare grazing capacity and experience finishing lambs. We'll talk about your feed outlook, stock management and route to market to see whether a small first mob makes sense.
IT STARTS WITH A CONVERSATION

Let's put it to work.
If you’ve got grazing capacity and ten minutes, let’s talk.
